Fourth @ Bandfest 2018

Bandfest this year came together wonderfully in the midst of what was a very busy semester full of various other commitments. The band performed last Friday night, the 25th May, at International House.

We played at the prime time slot of 9pm in front of a 100-strong crowd, with Cromwell supporters up the front and making sure their cheers were heard. The band played Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5; Ex’s and Oh’s by Elle King; an original piece by the band members (composed over two rehearsal nights in Week 11) and Valerie by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse.

Everyone involved worked tirelessly throughout rehearsals and brought an infectious enthusiasm to the performance which led to us achieving 4th place overall, Cromwell’s best Bandfest result in recent memory. Big thanks go to Geoffrey Lyhne, Meredith Melvin, Ally Molachino, Graydon Leonard, Dom Purcell, Jessie McRae, Samuel Luck and Emma Butler, as well as Lily Dargusch-Haig and Adriana Di Bella, for their assistance in the lead up to the night and for making it a success.
