Meet Rosie Forsyth: The Cromwell College 2025 Student Association President who’s about to shake things up! Voted in by her fellow students, Rosie is the real deal – a dynamic achiever who’s navigated degree changes, crossed state lines, and conquered campus life with remarkable adaptability.
Rosie brings the kind of down-to-earth vibe that makes students think, “Yep, she totally gets me.” Whether you’re struggling with a tough semester, looking for campus advice, or just want to chat, Rosie’s the President who’ll have your back – with a smile and probably a killer study tip or two.

Hey! My name is Rosie and I’ll be your Student Association President this year.
A little bit about me: I am an architecture student (and retired engineering student) at UQ. I’m from Hobart, but I’m originally a Queenslander at heart.
The best piece of advice I can give going into college is to give everything a crack. O-week (and college life as an extension) provides endless opportunities for growth within yourself.
At the beginning of my college experience, I was told that “what you put in is what you’ll get out” – and I have found this to be 100% true. Saying that, do not put too much pressure on yourself or the experience – live in the moment (easier said than done I know)!
If you’re feeling nervous or apprehensive about starting college, definitely take a look at our social media (Instagram and TikTok especially), we have lots of information available as well as day-to-day updates of our life at Cromwell. Also – check out last year’s O-week video on YouTube for an idea of what O-week will be like (just look up “Cromwell College O-Week Video 2024”). As I’m sure you’ll be able to tell, it is the most chilled-out, fun, friendly, and ‘family-like’ college environment you’ll get, we’re very lucky.
