Simon Armstrong is the Principal and CEO of Cromwell College. With close to 40 years of experience in Secondary Education, Simon is passionate about creating a supportive and welcoming environment for students as they transition to university life. He holds a Bachelor of Education from QUT and a Masters in Education from Griffith University. Before joining Cromwell, Simon was the Principal of a Brisbane school, where he led significant growth and development. Simon’s approachable leadership style and wealth of experience ensure Cromwell remains a vibrant community where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Michael Crome is the Deputy Principal - Academics and Operations at Cromwell College. Since joining Cromwell in 2015, he has been dedicated to providing exceptional academic and pastoral support, helping students navigate the challenges of university life. With over 42 years in education, Michael has held various teaching and leadership roles in schools across Melbourne and Brisbane. Michael's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Biochemistry from La Trobe University and a Master of Education Administration from the University of New England. His career has spanned positions such as Senior Mathematics Teacher at Somerville House, Dean of the College at West Moreton Anglican College, and boarding leadership roles at Brisbane Boys' College and Caulfield Grammar School.
Beyond his professional life, Michael and his wife Jenny reside on-site at Cromwell College, where they enjoy spending time with their three children and three grandchildren. His extensive experience and commitment to student success make him a valued leader within the Cromwell community.

With nearly three decades of experience in education, Tanya has held diverse roles including Physical Education teacher, Head of House, Director of Pastoral Care, and Director of Sport. Her extensive background has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges young adults face, particularly during the transition to tertiary studies.
Tanya's passion lies in creating safe and engaging environments where students can thrive. She is committed to helping young people recognize their full potential and mentoring future leaders at the college. Her approach is informed by research showing that mentoring can significantly increase the likelihood of students succeeding in higher education.
Beyond her professional life, Tanya's enthusiasm for sports and outdoor activities reflects her holistic approach to personal development. Whether she's surfing or embarking on multi-day hikes in Australia's National Parks, Tanya embodies the active lifestyle she encourages in students.

Jason joined Cromwell College as the Business Manager in November 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accountancy and Legal Studies from the University of Wollongong and has been a member of CPA Australia for 30 years.
Jason has worked with diverse organizations, ranging from government departments to corporates before finding a home in the not-for-profit sector, providing tailored financial guidance to meet the unique needs of each.
He has extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audit management, administration, facilities management and risk assessment, with a focus on ensuring financial sustainability and delivering value.

The College is governed by an honorary Board of Governors. The Board is the legal entity that constitutes the College and it is responsible for monitoring the College and assuring that it carries out its constitutional responsibilities such as setting policy, appointing the Principal, and approving the budget and major expenditure. Governors are either elected by the Synod of the Uniting Church, elected by the Board, elected by graduates of the College, elected by the Cromwell College Students’ Association or elected by the Senate of the University. Life Governors maintain a continuing interest in the College.
