1. When to apply? Application should be received at the College by 30th September each year and students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Do not wait until you have your year 12 results or your University place. 2. How many places are offered each year? The number of places available depends on how many existing residents choose to move out of College. This varies from year to year. 3. How to apply? Applications can be made on-line or in hard copy. Referees' forms have to be sent by the applicant to the Academic and Personal referees who return them directly to the College.
- An interview is conducted by the Principal or Dean of Students.
- Selection cannot be made until University offers have been made in January. The College can directly access offers made to applicants.
- Offers of places at College are made as soon as possible after the University offers are made.
5. Do we have to come for an interview? Interviews can be arranged by telephone for applicants in regional areas or interstate, though there is value for applicants in having the opportunity to see the College. 6. What do we do to confirm acceptance of a place at College? Places at College are confirmed once the acceptance and College fees for first Semester have been received by the College. 7. What is the commitment required by the College? College places are offered on an understanding that the student will remain at the College for the Academic Year. Except in extraordinary circumstances, College fees are not refunded if residents leave College before the end of the agreed period. 8. What are the chances of obtaining a place in College? - Demand for places at College is high but will vary from year to year.
- Siblings will be given special consideration but their selection is not guaranteed.
- You have no chance, of course, if you do not apply!
- It is advisable to have a back-up plan if there are insufficient vacancies to offer you a place.
