Building Projects Upgrading College buildings is a primary concern as some of the current buildings are over 50 years old and require funds to secure their redevelopment and to meet the technological changes of the 21 st century Constructing a purpose-built Hall on site would provide a venue for social and sporting functions. This could include regular bush dances, group classes (and socials) in ballroom or Latin dancing, aerobics or exercise yoga, basketball, badminton or volleyball, music performances, plays, public lectures and inter-college activities. All these would strengthen community life and provide a wider range of social activities, which would also enhance the social skills of our residents. The aim is to provide a positive alternative to the drinking culture. As well, this venue could be used in non-semester time for conferences which would generate additional income, helping make the College, in the long term, more financially independent. What are the benefits of giving to the Foundation? Old Collegians and Friends of Cromwell feel proud of their involvement as their financial assistance is benefiting current and future generations of residents. Why not seize the same opportunity and start assisting residents now? You: • will have the satisfaction of knowing that your contribution will make a difference • are able to assist those in need through giving to the bursary and other funds • can pledge your donation over a period of time • receive a tax-deductible receipt. Bequests The Board of Governors is committed to keeping the friendly and responsible culture of the College but would like to improve its facilities and architecture.
