Cromwell College - Fully Catered Accommodation (Collegiate)

 

Single Bedrooms with shared Bathroom

 

Cromwell College offers catered accommodation for 207 residents, both males and females. There are 5 residential wings with single study/bedroom accommodation and shared bathrooms (approximately 1 per 6 students).

  • Capacity to print from personal computer in room to College multifunction printer/photocopier in College Computer lab

  • Access to the College network (10mbps with double duplex 200 mbps rating. 100 mbps nodes from fibre optic)

There are some shared rooms, most with ensuite bathroom, and some ensuite rooms with air-conditioning. Prices for these rooms reflect these differences.

There are kitchenettes and recreational facilities on each floor equipped with a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, iron and ironing board.

The tradition at Cromwell is that male students are accommodated on the ground floors and female students live on the upper floors. We aim to mingle first, second and third year students within a corridor. A Senior, a later year resident selected and trained to provide leadership, resides in each corridor and looks after the wellbeing of the students in their corridor.

Fees for 2010 will include Semesters 1 and 2 mid-Semester breaks in March and September and cover 35 weeks accommodation. The total figure will be $13,315.75 with the first instalment of $7,457.87 payable by 18th December 2009 (returning students) and the second instalment of $5,857.88 payable by 25th June 2010. The contract is for entry to the College for the full year.

Additional expenses include the Students' Association fee of $265 will be collected by the College on behalf of the Association at the beginning of Semester 1.

First year students also pay $271.75 to the College for accommodation for Orientation Week, plus $240 to the Students' Association for activities during that week.

As from 2010 there will be a fee paid to the Cromwell College Foundation by first year students in second semester of their first year. in 2010 the fee wil be $300 and in 2010 only it will be paid by all returning residents as well.
