Our guest speaker on 9th May was  Dr Brenton Gray. After graduating with an Honours degree, majoring in Mathematics, from The University of Queensland and being recognised as a University medalist in 1993, Brenton went to work for Bain International, a management consulting firm in Boston. To further his career he returned to the University of Queensland and completed a PhD in 1998. Since 2002 Brenton has founded a number of businesses including Wildfire Text Books and Wildfire Sports. Wildfire Sports, his current business, sells high-end and specialist multi-sports equipment and accessories to communities and individuals across Australia.

Brenton spoke to students about his life at Cromwell from 1989- 1992 and shared a number of pictures from that era that highlighted how many things have changed over the years. He also gave students a wonderful insight into owning a business, what can be the trials and tribulations as well as what it takes to be entrepreneurial.

Brenton is married with three teenage children, one of whom attended the formal dinner with him.
