Cultural Dinner 2017

Cultural Dinner was held on the 19th September, 2017 and was a great success to wrap up and celebrate the end of our cultural year at Cromwell. The non-for-profit event was organized by Cultural Convener Hannah ‘Browse’ Gunn, with the support of the Student Executive Association and Cultural Committee. With casual drinks and celebrations to begin the night, followed with dinner and awards for both conveners and students in recognition of their efforts and support throughout 2017, who without, wouldn’t have made this year such a great one! The night ended with guest entertainer Matt Hollywood, an illusionist and magician who had students and Principal Ross up on stage, leaving the students in tears of laughter! The night was a lot of fun, and a great time to reflect on Cromwell’s cultural achievements of 2017. In total, $276 was raised for charity organization The White Ribbon Foundation by a gold coin donation at the door.

“I can honestly say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my position as Cultural Convener and am extremely grateful for the hard work and dedication put in by students who both committed to convene, participate and support in all the cultural events offered. Cultural Dinner is special as it gives both myself and the conveners that time to award those students and celebrate them. I’d like to thank the Cultural Committee for helping me organize the night and of course the old boys and girls who returned to serve. It is always such a pleasure having them back!” Hannah Gunn
