Cromwellian Heads to Broadway!

Chris "Prawn" Erasmus joined Cromwell in 2011 having previously completed a Bachelor of Drama Degree at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Chris studied a Bachelor of Business Degree at UQ and served as the RA of Lockley / House in 2013. He returned to Cromwell as a Resident Student Advisor before leaving to further his studies interstate. When at Cromwell, Chris and his family were instrumental in the college becoming involved in the Zambia Service Project.

Chris is a very talented young man. He is a gifted singer and dancer with a love for the stage and acting. He has over a decade of vocal training. Chris has also worked as a stunt rider with horses and appeared in several publications through this. He is a semi-professional decathlete in track and field, and has experience in advanced outdoor pursuits such as white water kayaking, scuba diving, mountain biking and snow skiing.

Last year, Chris accumulated a number of performance Credits while working with his international Acting Coach. He has played the lead in several advertisements, and is a beginning model. With this experience under his belt, Chris heads to London this week to commence working with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. He will also release a single with Lynn Verlayne Studios in New York, before working with Susan Batson Studios on Broadway from October onwards.

Ross and Jenny Switzer took the chance to catch up with Chris for dinner in Brisbane recently, ahead of him leaving for London.

Cromwell is very proud of Chris Erasmus and his achievements, and we will all be following his career with great interest! Well done Chris!
