Cromwell Ball a Huge Success

The Annual Cromwell College Students’ Association Ball was held on the weekend of the 9th of October at Moda on the Brisbane River. As always, the Ball, on the Friday night and Recovery on the Saturday, were a huge success.

Organised by Social Convenors Ramey Othman, Evan Morgan, and Sam Grace, guests were treated to a drum troupe, music played by the St Johns College Band, drinks, fireworks, and even a snake made an appearance. After a big year full of study, and College life in general, the Ball was the perfect opportunity for everyone to share one last laugh and a drink, before being inundated with practice exams and more study, as they step into SWOTVAC and Exams.

With all of the Students’ Association events now finished for the year, the changing of the guard is beginning. Students staying next year have begun campaigning for their place on the Student Executive, lighting up the walls of the College with their campaign posters.

The Students’ Association plays a massive role in the functioning of the College, organising all cultural, sport, and social events (such as the Ball) throughout the year. To be a part of the Student Executive is a big undertaking, and challenges the students with the balance of their studies and College commitments.

Congratulations to all of the Student Executive for their work this year, and good luck to next year’s leadership team.
